The committee has been in existence in its present form since 2001 with the objective of both organising and supporting social activities for the inhabitants of the Village . Before the advent of Covid 19 these included the well established Village Walks, Easter Day Duck Race, Summer BBQ, Barn Dance, and Carol Singing. Support is given to the Children’s Christmas Party, fund raising for Children in Need and Julia’s House, and donations made to local groups to help start their activities.

For the past few years, the only members of the committee have been Ron Davidson, Chairman, Bev Robbins, Secretary, and Lesley Salvetti, Treasurer. During this period we have been unsuccessful in attracting new members. Obviously the pandemic has limited social activities to a great extent, however, the easing of restrictions provides an opportunity for others to reinvigorate village life with new ideas and energy. We are therefore resigning from the committee forthwith and encourage others to step forward.
