The Queen’s Bench
The bench was designed by Philip Dyke as the result of an open competition within the village. It was erected by Russell Randall and Steve Elliott in time for King Charles the Third’s coronation on 6th May 2023. The structure was completed by Russell and Chris Randall in August 2023. Grateful thanks to Ashley Cooper for turfing the whole area, and also ACE (Parks Farm Cheese Dairy) for donating towards the cost of the map. A Massive Thank You to Philip Dyke, Russell and Chris Randall, Steve Elliott, Paul Kingston and Andy King for their part in providing the village with a truly commemorative edifice celebrating the reign of our late Queen Elizabeth II.
