Present: Rosie Hallett, David & Janice Hearn, Simon Nobes, Gil Smith.
Apologies from: Mary Anderson, John Firrell, John Salvetti.
Minutes of the meeting of 2 November 2009 were approved.
The main item was further discussion of possible LCWG involvement with
LATCH, which had first been brought up at the November meeting.
Since then there had been further proposals from members of the LATCH
Committee, including our Group attending at the monthly Village Cafe.
As at our previous meeting, members were keen to help, but it was
generally thought that before any definite plans were considered, we
should find out what service might be wanted by people in the village.
One way of trying to find this out would be for the LCWG to compose a
questionnaire and deliver it to all houses in Litton, but it was agreed
that a better way would be for us to attend at a Village Cafe, and have
discussions there with the people who might be interested, to see what
the demand there is.
It would be necessary for this initial event to have been advertised
widely beforehand, and as there is no Village Cafe to be held in
January 2010, a possible date would be the March Village Cafe, so that
notice of this could be given out at the February Village Cafe, on the
Litton Cheney Website, in the Bride Valley News, and possibly
elsewhere. For the event we should be able to provide a couple of
laptop computers, but will need to check beforehand with Alison Johnson
that all is fine.
The meeting closed at 9:15 pm
