BUSES
Service number 210 to/from Bridport is operated from the bus shelter on Monday to Saturday (except public holidays) by Damory Coaches, proceeding via Puncknowle, Swyre, Burton Bradstock, Shipton Gorge and Walditch. The following timetable is valid until further notice.

There is also a service to/from Dorchester on the first Saturday of the month as follows: (?)

The X53 “Jurassic Coast” service operates between Exeter and Poole via Seaton, Lyme Regis, Bridport, Weymouth, and Wareham. The nearest pickup point is at the Bull Inn, Swyre. A timetable can be viewed here  

Service number 31 operates between Weymouth and Axminster via Dorchester, Winterborne Abbas, Bridport, Charmouth and Lyme Regis. The nearest pickup point is at the top of Whiteway. A timetable can be viewed here 

 

73A Dial-a-Bus Service
 
On the first Wednesday of the month the 73A dial-a-bus service goes to Dorchester.  On the other Wednesdays it goes to Bridport.

This is a small Mini-bus which will pick passengers up at their homes and deliver back to the door and is mainly used by those who can't walk far and also has a facility for wheelchair users.    Places are limited and passengers are expected to register for this service and book a seat before travelling, at least a week in advance as it picks up in West Bexington, Puncknowle, etc.  For further details ring 01305 221703 or 01305 224582

 

TRAINS
The nearest railway stations are in Dorchester.

Dorchester South is on the main line to Waterloo via Poole, Bournemouth and Southampton. Journey time to Waterloo is approximately 2hours 35 minutes.

Dorchester West is on the line to Yeovil (Pen Mill), Westbury, Bath and Bristol (Temple Meads).

Both lines terminate at Weymouth in a southerly direction.

The line through Crewkerne and Yeovil Junction goes to Exeter Central to the West (with connections to Plymouth) and to Salisbury and Waterloo to the East.
